How To Make Money With Cafepress
Cafepress.com
allows it’s
users to upload their own designs to their website and
sell items with their design on it. I'm going to
be teaching you a little about how to make money with
Cafepress. You can start your own store for
free, and get paid when the item
sells. This is
one of the best ideas on the internet today – it
benefits buyers, sellers, and the
company.
You can sell t-shirts,
posters, mugs, bumper stickers, books on demand, CDs, wall
clocks, even postage. There are dozens of items you can
sell with your artwork on it. Cafépress
will handle all
the payments and shipping. All you do is design and
promote.
Another great thing
about Cafepress is that they give you
monthly bonuses according to how much you
sell. You can read
more about that
here.
This idea works best if
you’re artistic, have graphic design skills, or have a great
sense of humor. It
will take skill and work to make a
CafePress store successful, but
it can be done and it’s a pretty fun
business. This
won't make you rich quickly, but Cafepress will be the
perfect online business for some people who are reading
this.
The first thing you want
to do is sign up with
Cafepress. Read their FAQs, terms of service,
and how to sell. Then open your free shop, upload
your artwork, and get ready to
sell!
As of this writing,
Cafepress allows you to test their Premium Shops for 15 days
free. This is a
great deal, because if you’re serious about your Cafepress
business, you need to get a premium
shop. You can
promote much more products and get better traffic to your
items. It costs
about $5 each month after your 15 day trial – that is a
great deal and you will never find pricing like this
on
Ebay!
What you need to focus on,
when working with Cafepress is
marketing. I
found this
great ebook
by Jennifer
Laycock. What she did
was try to make money online with no start up money (she
actually had $108 dollars in her accounts to play with, so
that’s an advantage for her) and she did it with Café
Press.
It’s a free ebook, so click here
to download it. She has some good marketing ideas
in there. It
takes quite a while to read, but you'll find some things
that are worth learning.
The most important thing
to do when marketing CafePress is add keywords to your pages
so that the search engines can find
them. Remember
to do your keyword research. This is a skill you’ll gain in
time.
Each store you open should
target a specific niche. Remember to market to niches that
have money to spend. If you're the only seller on
Cafepress that markets to Poodle owners, (this poodle thing
is just an example, I have no idea if it's profitable) you
could make a very nice living.
Other ways to market your
store is with a website (which I’ll teach you about later)
and on Craigslist. Craigslist allows you to post free
listings, as long as you don’t abuse their
policy. When
promoting an online store, it’s a good idea to post your
items in different cities to gain more exposure, but do so
within Craigslist’s rules.
I'm not too artistic, so I
tried to sell funny phrases instead of
pictures. I did
learn how to make money with Cafepress and made a few
sales but didn't have the time to devote to that
business so I no longer sell
there.
